: Are there any herbs that will help prevent gout attacks?

The traditional treatment for gout is to eat 15 to 20 sour cherries per day. Apparently, sweet cherries will work but are not quite as effective. Many people who suffer from the gout report that they can tell by some very subtle changes in joint function when the condition will flare up. This would be the appropriate time to begin with the cherry therapy. My wife and mother both have occasional gout attacks and report cherries to be extremely beneficial.
