Seriously, eat some maple flowers.

Day before yesterday I had a 4-hour "let's see what we can pick" class. And the maple flowers were in their prime. There's only the one wild maple up here, Norway maple (Acer platanoides), but I expect that other maples have the same yummy flowers.
Once the flowers start morphing into seeds they don't taste very good at all, so most of you will have to wait until next year to try this. Bummer for you.
