Dandelion fluffballs.

Dandelion fluffballs are fun.

Did you know that being superstitious brings bad luck?

... that being said, if you can blow all the seeds off a perfect dandelion fluffball, you 1) have strong lungs, and 2) can wish for something.

Darn, there's seeds left on this one. Pic: Darn, there's seeds left on this one. There's tricks to it:
1) don't pick underripe dandelion fluffballs. Wait until they're all round and see-through.
2) don't pick them on a cloudy day; in dry weather the seeds are more likely to fly off.
3) blow from below, not from the top or the side.
4) if you didn't manage it on the first try, go for another fluffball. And another, and another, and another. There's lots.

But most importantly, remember to blow your dandelion seeds onto the neighbor's garden.

Jim McDonald's recipe for herbal bio-terrorism:

1.) Collect as many seeding dandelion "fluffballs" as possible, and fill a large shopping bag with them.
2.) On the next windy day, get into your car and drive out to the nearest detestably manicured, oversprayed, sterile lawned monoculture-kentucky bluegrass subdivision.
3.) Throw liberal handfuls of dandelion "fluffballs" out the window while driving up and down and around the subdivison.

Helpful Hint:
Singing and giggling thoughout makes this all the more fun

Sounds delightfully rebellious, but will unfortunately only make them spray more poison.

Darn, eh?

(being related to a few such poison sprayers...)

They're spraying the poisons every couple weeks anyways, otherwise they'd already have some delightful dandelions here and there...
