Synonym.—Decoction of Marshmallow Root.

Althaea, sliced 5.00 | 1 ounce
Distilled Water ... to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Add the althaea to 150 (30 fluid ounces) of the water, boil for fifteen minutes, strain, and make up to the required volume, if necessary, by passing distilled water through the strainer.
Dose.—30 to 120 mils (1 to 4 fluid ounces).
