Saffron 2.50 | ½ ounce
Glycerin 50.00 | 10 fl. ounces
Alcohol (60 per cent.) 50.00 | 10 fl. ounces

Mix the glycerin and the alcohol; then digest the saffron in the mixture for an hour at a gentle heat and filter. This preparation should be kept in well-stoppered bottles, filled so as to prevent access of air and consequent loss of colour by oxidation.
