Codeine 0.20 | 22 grains
Citric Acid 2.00 | ½ ounce
Gelatin 8.00 | 2 ounces
Glycerin 48.00 | 12 fl. ounces
Terpeneless Oil of Lemon 0.01 | 1 minim
Solution of Balsam of Tolu 36.00 | 9 fl. ounces

Soak the gelatin in 30 (7 ½ fluid ounces) of the solution of of tolu, add the glycerin, and heat until dissolved. Dissolve the codeine and citric acid in the remaining 6 (1 ½ fluid ounces) of solution, mix with the solution of gelatin, add the oil of lemon, and stir well together.
Dose.—4 grammes 60 grains).
