Synonym.—Aromatic Cascara.

Liquid Extract of Cascara 25.00 | 5 fl. ounces
Glycerin 20.00 | 4 fl. ounces
Gluside 0.34 | 30 grains
Ammoniated Glycyrrhizin 3.65 | 320 grains
Aromatic Spirit of Ammonia 5.00 | 1 fl. ounce
Spirit of Cinnamon 5.00 | 1 fl. ounce
Aromatic Elixir ... to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Dissolve the glycyrrhizin in the liquid extract and the glycerin previously mixed; add the gluside dissolved in the previously mixed aromatic spirit of ammonia and spirit of cinnamon, and make up to the required volume with the aromatic elixir. Set aside for three days and decant or filter.
Dose.—1 to 2 mils (15 to 30 minims) for repeated administration; for a single administration, 4 to 8 mils (1 to 2 fluid drachms).
