The Illinois State Eclectic Medical Society.

The recent meeting of the Illinois State Society was a pronounced success. There was about 175 registered, and the spirit during the entire three days was fine indeed. The papers were of the highest type. The discussions were practical in the extreme. No time was lost at any time except perhaps in that the sessions were a little late in opening. The following officers were elected:

President—Dr. C. H. Bushnell, of Chicago.

First Vice President—Dr. Hulick, of East St. Louis.

Second Vice President—Dr. J. A. McDonell, of Chicago.

Recording Secretary—W. E. Kinnett, Peoria.

Corresponding Secretary—Dr. Standlee, of Peoria.

Treasurer—W. E. Matthew, of Blue Mound.

A number of the papers read will appear in this journal, and a synopsis of others. Elsewhere I have boiled down some of the excellent things presented there. The session next year will be held in East St. Louis.
