Synonym.—Compound Powder of Bitter Almonds.
|Bitter Almonds, freshly blanched||62.50|||||10 ounces|
|Refined Sugar, in powder||31.25|||||5 ounces|
|Gum Acacia, in powder||6.25|||||1 ounce|
Dry the freshly blanched almonds and reduce them to a suitable consistence by rubbing them lightly in a mortar until as smooth as possible; then add gradually the sugar and gum acacia previously mixed, so as to produce a coarse powder.
