Crushed Linseed 28.00 | 4 ounces
Mustard, in powder 2.00 | 125 grains
Water 70.00 | 10 fl . ounces

Add the linseed gradually to about 70 (10 fluid ounces) of boiling water; then add the mustard, previously rubbed to a smooth paste with a little cold or tepid water. The mustard paste may be spread on the surface of the linseed poultice if stronger action be desired.
