Azalea.

Botanical name:

AZALEA, L. Beautiful ornamental genus of shrubs, with fragrant splendid blossoms, often called Swamp Pink, Wild Honey-suckle, Springbloom. Cutler says that the blossoms are made into fragrant conserves in the North. (I'd be careful with that. -Henriette)
