CHIMANTHUS AMYGDALINUS, Raf. Fl. lud. (Prunus Carolin, L.) Winter Laurel, Laurier Amande in Louisiana. Evergreen tree, blossoming in winter. Leaves give flavor of almonds to milk, creams, &c. Said poison cattle.
