Kinkeliba. Combretum altum. (Fam. Combretaceae.)—This is the leaf growing in Western Africa which is affirmed to be of great value in the treatment of bilious hematuric malarial fevers. Heckel and Schlagdenhauffen found in the leaves nothing more active than tannin and potassium nitrate. (See Perrot and Lefevre, Travaux du Laboratoire de Mat. Med., p. 67.)
