Mix the tincture and spirit with the glycerin, and add the syrup ,gradually, shaking after each addition; then add the solution of carmine and sufficient distilled water to produce the required volume, and filter through talc or kaolin.
Dose.—2 to 8 mils (½ to 2 fluid drachms).
