Elixiria. Elixirs.

Preparations:

Elixirs are usually sweet aromatic preparations, frequently containing a considerable percentage of alcohol, for which reason they, as a rule, require dilution before administration. Where talc or kaolin is directed to be used when filtering the elixirs, it should be added last and well shaken with the elixir, and the preparation then filtered.
