Synonym.—Aniseed Cordial.

Oil of Anise 0.30 | 30 minims
Oil of Fennel 0.05 | 5 minims
Spirit of Bitter Almond 1.25 | 120 minims
Alcohol 25.00 | 5 fl. ounces
Syrup 62.50 | 12 ½ fl. ounces
Purified Talc or Kaolin, a sufficient quantity.
Distilled Water ... to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Mix the oils and the spirit of bitter almond with the alcohol, add the syrup and 12.5 (2 ½ fluid ounces) of distilled water, and set aside for twelve hours; add sufficient distilled water to make up to the required volume, and filter through talc or kaolin.
Dose.—2 to 8 mils (½ to 2 fluid drachms).
