The netfunny page says that it's from the Journal of Irreproducible Results.

I've been under the impression that there only was one science-spoofing journal, but the one I've usually thought about is Annals of Improbable Research, not this one. Oh well, learn something new every day.

how 'bout an herbal one? There's a company in (I believe) indiana, US, called JLF that sells everything and anything for use as source material for herbalists/homeopaths/and "entheogen-enthusiasts/drug users"... check out an exceprt from their old disclaimer:

"Do not take orally (into your mouth) as a food, a beverage, a chew, a toothpick, a nutritional supplement, a medicine, a drug or an agent of suicide.... (snip) Do not eat, drink, inject, inhale, insert, absorb, snuff, snort, smoke, slam or ingest in any way. Do not stick, put, or throw into your or another person's mouth, nose, ear, eye, anus, urethra, vagina, or any other orifice or port-of-entry that may exist on your or another person's body."

I say "old" disclaimer, becuase he got into BIG trouble with the FDA for selling suspect plants and chemicals, and tweaked his disclaimer so its sounded more serious:

Now, the article implies that all his stuff was drug oriented, but he also sold chamomile & valerian, and myiad other nontoxic herbals. I'd gotten some herbs their several years ago that I just couldn't find anywhere else...

Anyways, it goes to show that no matter how explicit your disclaimer, you can't get around liability.
