Synonyms.—Mucilago Chondri; Mucilage of Irish Moss.

Irish Moss 2.50 | ½ ounce
Distilled Water ... to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Wash the moss in cold water to remove impurities, then boil with 120 (24 fluid ounces) of the water for fifteen minutes, strain while hot, and make up to the required volume, if necessary, by passing distilled water through the strainer.
Dose.—30 to 120 mils (1 to 4 fluid ounces), or more.
