Oil of Eucalyptus 1.00 | 70grains
Potassium Nitrate to 100.00 | to 16ounces

Mix the oil with the powders, adding the potassium nitrate last.

This powder is used several times daily, as may be necessary, for asthma. About half a teaspoonful is pressed by the fingers into the shape of a cone, which is then lighted at the top; the patient inhales the fumes is the powder burns. Pulvis Lobeliae Compositus is a similar preparation.
