Kaolin, in very fine powder 52.70 | 8 oz. 189 gr.
Boric Acid, in very fine powder 4.50 | 315 grains
Thymol 0.05 | 3 ½ grains
Methyl Salicylate, by weight 0.20 | 14 grains
Oil of Peppermint, by weight 0.05 | 3 ½ grains
Glycerin, by weight 42.50 | 6 oz. 350 gr.

Sterilise the kaolin by heating in an oven to not less than 150°, and maintain at that temperature, with occasional stirring, for one hour; then add the boric acid, mix intimately, while warm incorporate the glycerin, previously warmed, and finally add the thymol, previously dissolved in the methyl salicylate and oil of peppermint. The mixture should be kept warm for four hours and stirred occasionally before being enclosed in air-tight vessels.
