The juice obtained from a mixture of 100 parts of red currants, 10 parts of red cherries, and 5 parts of black cherries.

Uses.—Currant juice is used as a flavouring and colouring agent, and in the preparation of syrup of currants.

PREPARATION.

Syrupus Ribis Fructus, B.P.C.—SYRUP OF CURRANTS.
Refined sugar, 60; currant juice, by weight, to 100.
