Properties: Diuretic.

Use: The fluid extract or an infusion of the seeds may be used. A remedy used for infants to a great extent where urination is painful and scanty. Useful in irritation and inflammation of the bladder. Relieves irritation, heat and burning during urination, giving a cooling sensation as well as relieving pain in the region of the kidneys from irritation. A soothing remedy in pains in the back from irritation of passing urates and phosphates. Fluid extract may be given diluted in ½ to 1 drachm doses but infusion is preferable.
