Diyana - when I had bronchitis about 6 weeks ago, I found fenugreek to be helpful as an expectorant and cough suppressant. It also tastes rather nice, almost like maple syrup. I tend to use capsules instead of teas and tinctures, but I do know that hot teas also help.

Best wishes on your impending marriage. I was also in the throes of a cold/cough when I got married, but fortunately I didn't end up coughing during the ceremony. I was too nervous. <grin>

I used to have chronic bronchitis, now when I feel it coming on, I take the following vitamins twice a day for a few days:

1 multiple antidant ( 500mg vitamin C, 50 I.U. vitamin E, 50 mcg Selenium and 5000 I.U. vitamin E)

plus 1 gram of Vitamin C

For maintenance, I try to take the above once a day.
