well, i wrote asking about this a while back. i find that st. john's wort helps level the depression out, combined with chromium and b complex supplements. i find that damiana tea helps a great deal with the low energy levels. however, the thing that i have found to most significantly help me is evening primrose oil. i found a very clear correlation between when i started to take it and when the depression went and found some other brain to live in.

the other suggestion i got that has been helpful is to exercise regularly, but it was almost impossible to follow this one until my energy levels came up a bit. sort of a vicious cycle thingy. now that i'm feeling better, though, i'm finding a half hour of exercise a day goes a long way towards getting me from not-depressed to reasonably happy.
